COBEC recognizes that effective conservation begins with informed and empowered communities. Our Conservation Education and Awareness Programme is designed to provide individuals and institutions with the knowledge, values, and skills necessary to make informed decisions and take responsible actions for environmental sustainability. This programme is not limited to information dissemination; it focuses on transformative learning, where participants reflect, internalize, and translate knowledge into action. Education and awareness campaigns are customized to suit various target audiences, including government officials, school children, women’s groups, fishermen, and tourism operators.

We use diverse tools and approaches, including:

School outreach and environmental clubs
Community workshops and training sessions
Mobile video shows and cinema nights
Production and distribution of posters, leaflets, stickers, and newsletters

Nature tours and learning exchanges
